@piggyleila if you ever saw the actress in anything, you would see why she chose her. She usually plays the spazzy, sweatheart, or tsundere-type character.

But yeah, the first movie sucked not because it didn't translate good on screen. The special effects were awesome. It sucked because the casting and direction were absolutely horrid and didn't appease any fans of the original show. If they changed that, then another movie could be successful.

The movie seemed fine before I watched th e series

The Movie looked more worst then the Ember Isle players version after watching the Series with all it's shortcuts and rewrites...I walked away from it before it finished

Don't even get me started on the bad acting,bad fx and the movie need for fire source

@XAJanaeX Agreed, Iroh looked evil instead of thoughtful, and kind, and the rest of the actors weren't really looking like their cartoon counterparts. I think this movie really only pissed off the people who liked the old cartoon series. :D

They got the races wrong in the movie, fire nation is white while the water nation is brown. Earth nation idk it varies

@XAJanaeX I didn't watch the movie, but I watched the entire original series and the trailer for the movie. My input is that the movie was too serious; it totally missed all the humour in the show (especially with Aang or however you spell his name).
