As the Sino-US SED continues, the first group of Chinese tourists arrived in Washington's Dulles International airport Tuesday night local time.
There were more than 200 travelers from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong. They're on a 12-day tour, which will take them to Washington, New York and Los Angeles. Their arrival in Washington DC coincides with the fourth round of China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue in the States, which is significant for the opening of US-bound Chinese tours.

Local governments have arranged a series of welcome ceremonies for the Chinese tourists. The New York Tourism Bureau will host a cocktail party on their arrival. And the Los Angeles Tourism Bureau is welcoming the Chinese tourists with "China week".

The US is China's fifth largest tourist destination. Last year, over 710,000 Chinese people visited the US, that's up 12 percent compared with the previous year.

  • @qwertyu756 I will do my best to learn Japanese writing so people don't misread what I say. As an example linking verbs come at the end in Japanese. This is not so in English. Our linking verbs come in middle. Japanese use a lot of particles as well. English writing system doesn't translate well into Japanese I have found as well. We also use a lot of slang which Japanese are not familiar with. This is why I am trying to learn Japanese writing system so people can understand me better. ^-^

  • @qwertyu756 Oh not all all. I an sorry I think you mistook me. I just find this interesting is all. I really need to work in my translation skills don't i. I mean you don't see that many Japanese tourists here and yet Chinese tourists seems to be much higher don't they. I just wonder why there is such a difference is all. I am sorry if you took that as being strange Japanese. If anything I am the strange one as I like Japanese very much hehe. ^_^

  • @BlazinNSoul I'm sorry that a strange Japanese troubles you.

    From all Japanese.

  • As for the Japanese, we could not get into USA and Canada until 1952 besides rare white Caucasian Japanese citizens in Ogasawara. USA is nothing more than "white Australia" prohibiting the entry of the coloreds. The Japanese were not allowed in Australia and NZ until 80's or 90's.

  • @serbetli100 What and China isn't? No offence but unless something major has changed in the last 5 years in China I'd say the same applies. Please if I am wrong enlighten me. Yes, there are raciest people here but so are everywhere else. Although they are plenty of places in US which aren't either. It just depends on where you go. Please I mean no disrespect by this but am just curious into Chinese mindset these days? This is something I wouldn't have expected is all.

  • Until 2008 no Chinese allowed in the white man's land USA?

Ridiculous! What a exclusive retarded racist country USA is!

  • @v19d The people of LA surely love to know why there tax payer dollars are being wasted besides blame Arizona.

  • Boring story

  • nice,it was about time huh?
