Original Air Date: December 18 1965 Mothers usually know best so Jeannie decides to follow her mom's advice to make Tony jealous by accepting Roger Healey's marriage proposal.
Not "George Baxter's" house, 'sbergman'- the one his brother "Steve" lived in, during the final season of "HAZEL". Otherwise, yes, they were the same homes "recycled" on different shows...
@fromthesidelines The Tate's house from Bewitched is the Nelson House from I Dream of Jeannie. The Bellows house from I Dream of Jeannie is the Stephens' house from Bewitched. And the house in the vacant lot across the street in this episode is the same house that Endora kept making appear and disappear in the vacant lot across the street from the Stephens' house in Bewitched in at least a couple of different episodes. I never noticed the bit with Mr. & Mrs. B's house.
Incidentally, the interior of Jeannie's "house" is virtually the same one featured that season on "HAZEL" [the "Baxter" residence]. It was a custom in Screen Gems-produced sitcoms to reuse each other's sets (Tony's living room, in turn, was seen as part of a vacant house for sale in a "HAZEL" episode).
At this point in time, Tony will not marry Jeannie because a) he doesn't want to be married yet; b) he's concerned what will happen IF he does, and people find out she's a genie; and c) he's determined not to fall in love with her enough to BE coerced into marriage. In other words, he's stubborn! ;)
That’s JUST what ‘Tony’ needs; that budinski of a doctor living right ACROSS the street from him. : /

Beacuse at the time, Tony was a "Captain", 'iluv'. He wouldn't be promoted to "Major" until the episode "How Lucky Can You Get?" [2/19/66].

Hmmmm...why do they keep calling him Captain Nelson?
