Three cameras were used for this shoot;
The Flip MinoHD camera in the cockpit facing forward,
A Sony Webbie HD aft of the cockpit facing aft,
The FlyCamOne attached to the belly facing straight down.

Today was the first shoot with the new Sony Webbie ... it does not handle vibration well at all. In all of the footage that I got the vertical stabilizer looks like it's made of Jello .... it seems to be wiggling all the time and trying to do some kind of hula dance :(

Of the three cameras it seems the Flip is still the best... it seems to handle the vibration pretty well. Shooting through the tinted canopy and the propeller are not great ideas, but I'm learning.

  • That was real FUN, Al, THANKS!

    Now I can see how many drivers doing "doughnuts" with their vehicle in the Nevada dessert!

  • Well technically Joshua Tree is still in the California Desert :) ... but yes, loads of donuts out there,,, the view from above is pretty cool.
