This is a poem I wrote a while back that just came to me, literally just like that. I was in my room and started writing part of it and even tried singing it, thinking of making it into a song or something like that. Well I hope you all like it, feedback is appreciated. I will be posting more soon. :D peace!
BTW: I took the background photo while in the Grand Canyon, I thought the plant life was beautiful and began snapping away haha. :D
Liquid Soul
Are you going to judge me now?
Please explain to me
Someone talk to me
Quit trying to back down
I stand before
A sinner
A saint
I am of homo sapien descent
And yet so much more
You look at me with contempt
Listen to the sounds
As I cry out
Punishment and yet I am innocent
My soul is being seared
But I come baring my humanity
This immortality
The winds shift
I can smell the stench
That god awful smell
As someone smokes to oblivion
I am surrounded
I am condemned
The liquor burns inside
They claw at my hands
Trying desperately to get out
SOMEONE SAVE ME NOW
I AM DROWNING
IN MY OWN WORLD
HERE I AM
TAKE ME OUT
IS IT NOT ENOUGH THAT I HAVE WALKED THROUGH THE BOWELS OF HELL?
HAVE MOVED THROUGH THE HEAVENS BEFORE I FELL?
THAT THE ANGELS AND DEMONS FIGHT OVER ME
HERE I STAND
SCREAMING OUT LOUD
TAKE ME OUT OF ETERNITY
BOUND TO LIVE ALONE
CHAINED TO INSECURITIES
PLEASE LET ME OUT!
And so I am on my knees
With the hands of the ancients
Writing what is sacred
Trying to spill these secrets
Tell me how
Free me now
Someone save me now
I am drowning
Here on my own
Walking the earth
Immortality is deceiving
Seeing isn't believing
And I am desperate
Seeking forgiveness
Show me the way
Somewhere out there
This is only the beginning
