I put my old Mac Mini in a PC Case.
Why????
1. I bought the first Mac Mini which is a PPC with 256 Ram,1.42 single core, and 40gb hdd. I thought it was crap which is why i bought and used the newer Intel mini. I sold my Intel Mac mini and my 17" imac PPC. So now i use the PPC mac mini only for learning purposes (my main computer is a Gateway running Vista with 8 gb Ram).Which brings me to why I put my Mac Mini in a PC Case- because when i take out the Mac Mini out of the closet, i need to reassemble it- in other words, i need to also take out the USB hubs (Mac Mini only has 2 USB slots), i need to take out the external HDD (Mac mini only has a 40GB HDD), and take out the DVD external Burner (my Mini doesn't have the Superdrive).
2. To hide the spaghetti wiring. The Mini doesn't have much wiring until you add all the necessary external stuff.
3. To save time- All i need to do is take out the ATX case and plug in 3 cables.
4. To do something different- this is by no means the only Mini in a PC Case. I'm sure others have tried and done something similar or at least considered it but didn't know how to execute it.
5. But your ruining form and function!!- Seriously, get over it. I bought the Mac Mini to use as a computer and not as a pretty paperweight. I don't care if it looks like a PC now.
Thanks for watching and reading this!
