@experiment0003 yes please let this person have it. clearly they know nothing of the process it takes for a singer to learn a song or even the legendary status of Baby Face before there was a Rodney Jerkins there was Face! Again you def let them have it in the greatest of ways an educated back hand slap. WURK! LOL.

@jafarhie well let me reiterate... If you've been to a recording session where an artist is learning to sing a song for the first time, the songwriter and/or vocal arranger (usually with the help of the producer too--but having all three around works well, and in this case, Babyface happened to be all three) literally teaches the artist the song line by line and phrase by phrase. Some times, even ad libs and riffs are even the idea of the aforementioned. So how could he mess it up? I get u tho'

@experiment0003 I understand your point but the beauty of Babyface is that he wrote these songs specifically for Toni's voice. Even when I hear someone trying to cover any of the songs Face wrote for Toni it never seems to work out right. They are his songs so he does have a right to sing them but I would rather he not.

@jafarhie well if he just wrote it, I'd agree with your point... however, he made the instrumentation to go along with it, and he also taught Toni line by line exactly how to sing it... so how could he possibly ever mess it up? I think what it is is that you're so used to hearing Toni on it, and that's understandable, but saying he's somehow messing it up is just ludicrous lol

@xtinnecabrera Nah, I don't want to hear Babyface mess up these classics even if he wrote them. But that's just me, you can have your own opinion. In my opinion he didn't do them justice.

@jafarhie can't the composer sing his own song now?? and FYI.. during the concert.. baby face gave justice to it. so if that's your stand, don't try or attempt to sing the same song also.
