FREE OUR FRIENDS - 5 Arrested - Occupy Fort Worth Texas

Occupy Fort Worth was raided by the Fort Worth Police saturday evening at approximately 9:45 PM. The protesters had placed tents along, but not blocking, the sidewalks outside Burnett Park. These tents were being used as protest signs and were not in violation of any city ordinances. As of Sunday morning three of the protesters were still in police custody at the Mansfield jail. The protesters were taken directly to the Mansfield jail, rather than being processed in at the Fort Worth police station over concerns that the remaining protesters would march on the Fort Worth Police Department headquarters. the arrested were a young man who identified himself only as Anthony, Bryan Fredrick, Jo Jones, Matt Yeager, and a young woman who identified herself only as Brooklyn.
