  • I'm 21 yrs old black female and I must say that old school rock n' roll was and is amazing..............Buddy Holly and the others paid their dues on that winter tour, they went through hell during that time on that broke down bus and they weren't even able to take showers that much..............They worked extremely hard and were dedicated musicians

  • Back in the 80's, and while on vacation, I drove to Clear Lake to the Surf Ballroom. While not open, someone did see me hanging around, and when I told them I was a big Buddy fan, they let me in for a tour! I saw the pay phone Buddy called his wife on, and the stage he played on, i think the dressing room as well.

It was all very interesting! Thanks Surf Ballroom!! This is a great documentary! Thanks for posting!

  • @VirgoGal74 That's really a great book; I bought it on Amazon when I first heard about it on the 'net.

  • @bluesatsunset For most people color does matter lol

  • @thickjai18

Colour doesn't enter music. Why mention you are black?

  • They didnt have a John F Kennedy FIFTY cent piece back in 59!

  • @VirgoGal74 I am 30 years old and my opinion is Buddy Holly is the greatest rock n roller of all time. His music, sound, and writing was way ahead of his time.A true genius and mintored the greatest country music singer of all time in Waylon Jennings.

  • @VirgoGal74 I agree
