The Persians originally lived in Azarabadegan until the Seljuks arrived and conquered the place, making it a Turkic speaking region. So why should Persians reward Turks for invading their land? Whatever people take, we should let them keep? Arabs invaded Persia in 640 and their descendants still live in Ahvaz. Should we just give Ahvaz to them too because they conquered us a long time ago and now they live there? I ask: why should we not assimilate people who are descendants of our invaders?

Hey, Mr. Ignorant Ahmadinejad learned Turkish in Ardabil during his time as governor :D So I'm assuming he's still a "fascist" in your eyes, after he's been trying to improve the economic and social issues of all the people of Iran. So how would he try to "assimilate" Azerbaijani people, Azerbaijanis are respected in Iran, Khameini is half Azerbaijani, Khatami is half Azerbaijani, Googoosh is Azerbaijani,the list goes on.. and there is no evidence of assimilation. I hear Azerbaijan in Tehran too
