Adrienne a student nurse talks about the drug Valium. Valium is a trade name drug for Diazepam. Valium is a benzodiazepine, and is used for Anxiety, Sedation, epilepsy, a muscle relaxant, and the management for alcohol withdraw symptoms. Side Effects are dizziness, drowsiness, lethargy, depression, hangover, headache, blurred vision, hypotension, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, weight gain, rash, and this may cause a physical dependence. The drug action is that it depresses the central nervous system by enhancing GABA neurotransmitter and produce skeletal muscle relaxation by inhibiting spinal polysynaptic afferent pathways. The therapeautic effects are the relief of anxiety, sedation, amnesia, skeletal muscle relaxant and to decrease seizure activity.

Including myself. Quite ironically, I actually take 10mg diazepam due to weed!
