It is clear that the creator of the video does not have a clue what he's doing.
Why calls this a Turorial? The only thing I have learned from this video is that the author is a beginner and is showing his own very first steps into this programming language.

Jeeze, thanks for not telling what you were typing exactly. I can't see it, it's too damn blurry. I'm still at a loss on how to make an IF game with this thing.

This... didn't seem to cover anything about Inform 7. "object: name of a thing" doesn't do anything. Inform 7 uses natural language: "The ball is a thing." This didn't make any sense to me as a quasi-avid user of Inform. Sorry if I misunderstood.
