Question: I bought a brand new red switch lid from eBay, and it's perfect. Then Dell sent me a really cool pink swirl one with my replacement computer. But unlike the red one, this one has the NAME of the style typed ON the lid itself! It actually has white letters an inch deep from the front right side: "La Paz-itively Hot OPI". What the heck??? I've checked out many others, and they don't have this. And it isn't a removable label, either. Anyone encountered this before?

@Hopeful8811 The stamp is normal. OPI is a company that manufacturers high quality fingernail polishes and they partnered with Dell to provide several lids in some of their most popular finishes. The stamp helps to distinguish it from the ordinary.

BTW, you can actually go to OPI's web site and look up "La Paz-itively HOT" in their color database.

@koorosh056 The switchable lid is an optional feature. If you are not finding the button on the top rear of the unit then your system was not configured with the switchable lid option.

Come on It is not so easy to remove the original lid. I had to use a knife to detach it T_T .

@Anonnamusly Mine is the 5110 and i've got the lid changed. It is a bit diccifult sometimes to remove it, you have to be a bit careful even to insert the other lid

I have the button on the back of my daughter's 14R, but for the life of me I can't get the black original lid off....The button seems to do nothing. And the black lid doesn't budge....

@Anonnamusly That happened to me, too. But I guess I finagled more than you did, and it finally worked. You just have to slide it in very carefully, so that both sides click in properly, before clicking in the center. I hope that makes sense!
