What's your power setup? I have converted mine to a non-motorised sloper for the moment because the stock speed 400 setup sucks - even with a planetary box and a MASSIVE 13x10 prop.
I know from sloping mine that more weight is not an issue and they actually fly a lot better loaded than not, however thermalling is a different story! I'm looking at other options while trying to keep as much of my current gear as possible (prop too if possible)
