  • When your in config-line mode, you can issue a "do show run" so you do not have to exit to global just to see the running config.

  • @XtR0pX after you type "VLAN 2" you have to press enter. only after you are in the specified VLAN will you be able to type the "name CORE" command.

  • So whenever I try to create a VLAN (like type conf t, vlan 2 name CORE, or just simply vlan 999 for creating a parking lot) I get % Invalid input detected at '^' marker. Any insight as to what is going on here. I have given my switch and IP address and a host name.
