This is a Prince reed organ made in Buffalo, NY around 1878. It was redecorated and given to movie star Zasu Pitts by her first husband in the 1920s. I did a lot of work on it and now it sounds great. Check out the tremolo stop!

  • It is owned by her grandsons, Ralf and John Reynolds who asked me to get it back into playing condition again. John is one of the great jazz banjo/guitar players in the Los Angeles area. He and his brother are the "Rhythm Rascals". AND her name is spelled ZaSu and pronounced Say-Soo (if you want to be picky).

  • Great; thanks for your reply. I am loosely familiar with the musical output of the Reynolds Brothers and a huge fan of their late grandmother, Ms. Pitts. Thanks again!

  • How did you manage to get this organ?
