rodel Which famous in swiss and austria, is a replica for street of the luge for ice used on bob tracks. these are incredibly good at corner and furious fast straight.
it dives in corner without braking, use the curve for drifting - braking and curving in the same time. very impressive hair pins.

it is easy to go straight at corners in luge, every begginer went one time off the street- or make a soft setting that may goe to wobble in straights. curves much better in buggy rollin.
In straight the perfect optimised luge structure ( if the setting is strong ) makes the luge more efficient than a human body with its softnes and articulation complexitiy loose a lot of energy.

it is about street luge, and buggy rollin suit right ? (not rodel luge and roller skate)
then it is eexaclty the oposit: the buggy rolin suit can offer more wheel in contact to the ground, the body mecanics brings all the system perfectly in trajectory and turns greatly, a luge does not turn easylly, and specially not really good as turning and braking in same time.

Don't know if I would be brave enough to attempt it on a longboard...too easy to loose your balance... with mostly bad outcomes.
