Linux on Slim Playstation 2

PlayStation 2 slim console booting Linux. This is done with MegaMan's kernel loader and deba5er's BlackRhino Linux distribution.
On slim consoles the kernel will NOT work with Linux installed on USB, it will crash and freeze all the time. Mouse / keyboard work, mass storage does not.

You need to have the Linux distribution stored on a network share (I have a NSLU2 NAS). Also network boot is quicker than the USB 1.1 ports on the PS2.

I am using kloader and the linux kernel from

The initrd and distribution from "windows share boot files" at:
http://www.ps2.nuclearfall.com/

DVD from original PS2 Linux kit is needed to get sound working.

why the hell do you have 5 internet modems??? thats wayyy unnecessary unles you have 25 computers that you use frequently and they all share a connection.

Ive got a slim ps2 and want to get linux working off usb it gets to the point where its loading kernel loader shows that error and wont continue. Another time it went further abd i got to the black screen with writing but it just hanged.

@pedropassamani since you cant install on USB and cant get a HDD you have to install from the network try looking that up
