Yoga - Firefly Variation - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.

Today I am going to show you a variation of tittibhasana, or the firefly pose. So, you can start with the legs wide apart, almost the same way that we do for the tortoise posture. Then reach the arms underneath the legs, attempting to get the knees and the shoulders as close as possible to each other. Then place the hand wide apart, about three to four inches away from your hips. Then lift the seat to balance.

Keep a little bend in the elbows to make a shelf to rest the legs on, from there gradually straighten the legs. You can straighten the arms as well, or do some push ups there. To come out, bend the knees, bring the seat back down to the mat, and relax. So, this is a strength posture and it will help to increase the flexibility of your spine and strengthen the arms.
