Well I haven't read the books but my friend told me that she's half faerie or something, like she has relatives that are faeries too and stuff like that. So that's why she can read minds, and that's why she pushed MaryAnne away with that light from her hands in a season 2 episode.

I personally think the books are much better, but I did enjoy the TV Show as well.

I am only one the third book as of now but someone told me she was! I personally like that it is not all the same to the book but spins it in an approiate way! I havent got to season 2 but the whole fairy thing is pretty cool!
