I have a few traps like these, and I put a styrofoam cup in in my bait compartment instead of bread or dogfood. I catch up to 50-60 bream in a day to bait trotlines. And have had as many as 80 in it at a time baiting it with only a cup.

I was just wondering what would be a good size for the opening of the trap also what did you use to tie the trap together. thanks

@moeyo83 hello, thanks for the question. The size of the opening should be determined by your states laws. Here is Texas, the openings can be no larger than 1 in by 3 inches. I use stainless steel hog rings to bind the trap together.
