A cover of the song "April come she will" by Simon & Garfunkel. Normally I would make a video but the sound quality is better with just audio so I just attached some Andrew Wyeth paintings to it instead. ;-P
Please forgive the many imperfections. I also skipped the high note at the end, I'm no Art Garfunkel.... :-P
It's a simple ode to passing time, I guess, and reminded me of Wyeth's austere artwork.... he recently passed away (January '09) at the age of 91....

April come she will
When streams are ripe and swelled with rain;
May, she will stay,
Resting in my arms again.
June, she'll change her tune,
In restless walks she'll prowl the night;
July, she will fly
And give no warning to her flight.

August, die she must,
The autumn winds blow chilly and cold;
September I'll remember
A love, once new, has now grown old.

  • THanks for your compliment. :-)

    Yes I can carry a tune, but that's about it :-P

    By the way I accidentally removed your last comment. I clicked "remove" when I meant to click "Reply," sorry.... :-P

  • "May be I'll give it a try sometime"... yes please do, you've got to! Not kidding, you have a very nice tone of voice that just needs to be worked (to practice more singing?) a little if such.

    As to GermanOperaSinger's favorites non-opera singers, congratulations. Personally I also find they're/were excellent performers too. The same goes to those singers mentioned by Sean.

  • Trust me, I would have much preferred an aria or art song too- if only I had the voice!! :-P

    I like a lot of different types of music but my favorites by far are classical and opera. Maybe I'll give it a another try sometime :-)

  • Dear ShawDAMAN,

    I apologise that my taste in music is so narrow. I did listen to your Simon Garfunkel and, " what's not to like." I would have prefered an art song or aria. My four children are all amateur song writers and guitar players. I love them all even though none of them have followed my classic/opera dream. They were all born in the 60's. That should explain a lot. For me, it''s more important that you're a good sincere person and performer, than whether I approve of another genre,
