Humanism (Sort of simplified)

I did really poorly in the classroom. And in a many ways, things really haven't changed all that much. Enjoy, YouTubers. Rate 5* if you are a humanist. Leave a comment indicating that my ramblings are confusing and you still have no clue. :P

@Stryder467 The spiritual tones are all over this. There isn't a deity at its center but the spirituality is there. It talks about right and wrong, humanity, and sounds like a commercial for LDS without God.

@timbosforporn I think you may be mistaking spirituality for ideas on how we should treat one another. It's an informative speech on a type of philosophy that I learned about a few years ago. Spirituality is concerned with religion, and I steer well clear of it.

@Stryder467 Who said all forms of spirituality has to have a deity associated with it? Just because their is no official deity associated with this way of thinking doesn't mean it isn't spiritual in nature.

@timbosforporn Check my comments. Read them carefully. Is 'deity' even mentioned? No. I said religion. Not all religions have deities. Buddhism, for instance. African Shaman are another. Personally, I'm an atheist. It is definitely true that religions tend to have advice on how to treat one another, but that doesn't mean humanism (The topic and message of this video) is anything like one.

@timbosforporn Of course it isn't necessary. But you keep using the word 'spiritual' without appreciating what it actually means. Look up 'spiritual' on the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

Having done this myself, I fail to see how this applies to anything humanism has to offer (Let alone what my crappy speech on it entails).

@Stryder467 No you did not mention deity but a religion does not have to have a deity in order for it to be spiritual. You even said so when you said budhism has no deity. My oponion is that humnanism is a form of spirituality because it has the same feeling of deep connection that other religions have.
