It doesn't help or anything, it shows, however, how you feel about your music. It basically says that you are in to in very much that emotions are gushing out of you, YOU JUST HAVE TO MOVE! :D Good luck with the lessons, which technique will you be learning?

not at all, dont try to sway and do movements that are un-natural, if you feel the need to move, do so naturally when you feel the music. movement should never be planned.
