This is a slideshow of pictures taken on a trip from Lahore to Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Murree with stops in the countryside, along the way. The people were most gracious and friendly as you can see from their faces. The background music is a song called Challa from a CD titled Pakistani Folk Hits:01 Since I don't speak Urdu, the song was selected for the music. I have no idea what it's about so, if you do speak Urdu, please forgive me the lyrics don't make sense for the video!

  • is it Rawalpindi?

  • I was in Lahore, Islamabad, Murree and the countryside between Lahore and Islamabad.

  • great picture collections and this song is also great folk song and really depicit your visit.

so please tell all the people who have not met pakistani that most of them are friendly and the image they have in westren world of "most dangerous nation" is wrong.

    thanks for posting these pictures

  • As the viewer can see from the pictures, the people I met were very friendly. You are right, tho, that the west has this mis perception about Pakistan. Violence is a part of living on this planet and none of us are immune. I felt that the people of Pakistan were very gracious and hospitable. Everywhere I went, it is the custom to offer a drink and something to eat. Very nice! As I watch the video, I am reminded of a wonderful trip...

  • I agree...!
