Strafejumping through the expert hallway, starting with a circle jump. No rockets and running up before the start line. Its very possibly and it can be done even better than shown here. If you cheat your way through this hallway, you'll just end up being pitted against Quake pros with years of experience. No shame in entering the advanced portal and working yourself up to Tier 3 by fragging.

lol the strafe jumping run in quakelive is easy as balls... though im a cpma player so i have good movement but my aim is terrible going from good netcode to bad

also, your not smooth enough, you shouldnt even need a full circle jump to get that and you barely made it

anyone who's watching tutorials just to get past the last part is missing the point of it. if you cant make it on your own you're supposed to walk in to the nearest tele.

I didint even know that u could do it like this. I just used the rocket launcher against the wall to gain momentum and spammed jump. worked the first try. But now, watching this, I guess i cheated. I should have entered that portal instead... nvm =)

LOL I didn't even realize that part was a strafe portion. I just on impulse from all my gaming strafe jumped after the rocket for the middle and said "huh? I passed?". The programmers should have forced a 180 before this to prevent the inertia from transferring.

you actually cant do that hallway without circle jumping, most ppl just rocket jump off the wall and then strafe to the end with lots of time until the door closes
