  • Thanks what do you find is the main benefit of this?.

  • @mdhization There are 3.

    1. Cheap nearly indestructible motors.

    2. Cheap tools that have 3 phase motors on them.

    3. The motors are easy to reverse. ( being able to back up is a great added benefit when cutting threads on a junk lathe).

  • Wish I understood what it is . know its cool though.

  • @mdhization You can take a 3 phase motor and use it hooked to standard single phase 220 AC that comes in to all homes in the USA to make 3 Phase electricity. Once you have the 3 phase idle motor going the 3rd leg ( wild leg) becomes excited and you can parallel more 3 phase motors to it. 3 Phase motors have no start circuit since they have 3 sections phased 120 degrees from one another working in what is known as "The Rotating Magnetic Field Principal " .

  • This is great! My grandfather has powered our family's machine shop in this way since 1980. Love this channel.

  • Thanks will ponder
