#S17 Pro-Democracy, Anti-Harper, Anti-Enbridge

Monday, September 17, 2012. Protestors of all ages gathered outside federal offices in downtown Vancouver, on unceded C.S.T., along with demonstrations planned in 16 cities across Canada, to mark the first day of this house of commons session sitting, and to celebrate the Occupy Wall Street movement which has shifted, but despite the strong wishes of the one %1, has not gone away and won't be silenced. Speakers addressed the ongoing assault on our very democracy by Stephen Harper and the Conservatives (or rather Neo-Cons).

im extremely antiHarper as well...but this strikes me largely as just another populist movement. What the occupy movement doesnt seem to realize is that not everybody in the 99% agrees with all of the views.

For instance, im not necessarily against a pipeline for the west to the east. Build a pipeline so that the prosperity in this country is widely and deeply shared. You can have a pipeline and still run environmental protection. The Cons and the NDP want us to think that its one or the other
