It's check-in day at United for Families. Students come to discuss their grades, college plans and future aspirations with special counselors assigned to help them make successful transitions into adulthood. It hasn't been an easy road for these students, who spent much of their lives in foster care. Even now, years after being removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect, the confusion and sadness of those first days still linger.
Though United for Families makes every attempt to find a forever home for children in foster care, many teens age out of the system when they turn 18. Those young adults can turn to the Road to Success.
Road to Success serves more than 50 young people, and they all need help. Please call to learn more.
