Well yes, they were purely satirical of that generation but more importantly he made fun of EVERYONE and not just one race or subset of culture but all the faeries and faggots unt hippies and yuppies and poodles and poofters and jessuit monks. And billy graham and all the bullshit metaphysiscists and the bonked out philostophers too.

@boomaga I dunno about remastering it, but if someone wanted to re-edit the movie, they probably could (with a more precise program like Adobe Premiere)... I've considering doing so, to see if it can be put in a more logical order. Putting the Rance Muhammitz stuff in a logical sequence, for instance - instead of him changing clothes and locations with every shot.

"...and the dykes, and the weird little children they grow..." (complete line)

@boomaga oh man thats so heavy wow!

The amazing part here is that Zappa is kidding and not kidding at the same time.

If Dweezil is taking anything to Broadway, it should be Thing-Fish.

Dweezel should mount a Broadway production, then we can get a digital mix of the score....

It's awesome that Theodore Bikel was in this movie. He played Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof for years on Broadway. He is quite active still in his eighties.
'Lord have mercy on the hippies and faggots and the weird little children they grow.'

Zappa's works like 200 motels and We're only in it for the money were purley satrical of that generation.
