Today is Maureen O'Hara's 90th Birthday and to celebrate that honourable occasion I've made a new tribute to our favorite Irish cailín! I know it's long, probably the longest tribute I've made to date, but I needed the room and I was also thinking roughly 1 minute per decade should be allowed, yes? ;D

If I've counted correctly there should be clips from 55 of Maureen's movies in there and the clips of her singing is from The Perry Como Show.

I really hope you will enjoy it and last but not least - Happy Birthday, Maureen!!

I dedicate this first and foremost to Maureen herself, but also to my fellow MOHsketeers ;)

  • Sara darling, you broke my heart....I have never known a tribute to so thoroughly do justice to it's subject,( and Oh what a magnificent subject is the incandescent Ms O' Hara.)..Your brilliantly constructed retrospective is an outstanding achievemernt in it's own right. Thank you!

  • Could you tell me please what movie is at 4:29? Thank you.

  • You have our love also Maureen. You've had it all along. I watched you since, "How green was my valey". (Probably before, with Charles Lhauton). I enjoyed all those technicolour films. The Black Swan, the Spanish Main, Sinbad the Sailor, etc. in my native Island, Malta, long ago. And in Canada. I do wish you live to 102........ And I wish I would be here to wartch your work.

  • Great tribute ;-)

  • excellent tribute! as a perry como fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the clip from his show, thanks a million!

  • Respond to this video... There are a number of Movies I watch over and over I have shown them to my kids and now my grandchildren on occasion, The Quiet Man,The Ghost And Mrs.Muir, to name just a couple now I will add this tribute to such a wonderful and beautiful lady whom we are fortunate to still have among us, well done Sara.

  • @Darksideadept I traveled to Cong to trace the footsteps it was sad to see White of Morn so neglected and Cohan's Pub not a Pub, but that was many years ago now, sadly I missed Miss O'Hara's recent return to Cong.

  • @Darksideadept Maureen and Gene two of the most beautiful ladies from the silver screen. From research I know Miss O'Hara attended the Premier of One of Gene Tierney's Movies, Titled, The Razors Edge, from Somerset Maugham's book, I believe Maureen is now living here in Ireland,Clonakilty Co, Cork. As a nephew would you please enquire on my behalf from Miss O'Hara as to any memories she may have of that night I know it's a long time ago 1946. I have tried corresponding on the official site.

  • @3penwell Thank-you, The Tribute was very fitting for a gorgeous Maureen O'Hara she was beautiful

    indeed.

  • @Etnalleb If you click on saraismyname at the top of this page to go to her channel then you should see her tribute to Maureen for her 91st birthday. It is titled "Maureen O'Hara".
