Car Bash fundraiser for Formula 1 styled race car design. Our goal is to design, engineer and build a Formula 1 styled open-wheeled racecar. It is our intention to take the knowledge gained from this experience and apply it through our future working environments. About the club: UMD Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) is a diverse array of highly motivated Mechanical and Industrial engineering students at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). Our goal is to design, construct, and test a Formula 1 style racecar in order to compete in the annual nationwide Formula SAE competition. It is our intention to build a racecar that demonstrates each students diverse talents and commitment. We plan to enter our first competition in May 2008 and establish a tradition of UMDs annual participation and a dedication to excellence in the FSAE (Formula Society of Automotive Engineers) competition. The competition presents students with the opportunity to enhance their engineering skills and gain valuable experience. The teammembers are: Dana Johnson, Aaron Stotko, Kevin Nowak, Miles Schoen, Ben Gundermann, Owen Dickinson, Zach Roelofs, and John Paskiewicz. The advisor for the group is Daniel N. Pope PhD.
