I had the pleasure to 'discover' Di Wu during a concert in Asheville, NC on February 27, 2010 and was simply impressed by her performance. Unbelievable how she was able to combine elegance, expression and passion in her way of playing the piano. It was an unforgettable moment of joy for eyes and ears.

I lived around the corner from Curtis Music Institute while Di was there... She was my favorite performer for three reasons.. In no particular order...
She`s an Amazing talent, obviously!
She played the entire Rapsody in Blus by Gershiwn (a popular version of which was recorded by her teahcer at Cutris... but I forget his name. It was the version used in Woody Allen`s Manhattan
And..
Her beauty is only out-shined by her kindness and class.
And to think, I never had to pay a dime!! all free!
We seem to be watching the same videos, as I see your (Prokofiev inspired?) username everywhere ... I'm surprised that another contributor to this forum has described Di Wu as 'another typewriter off the conveyor belt'. Yes, there are a lot of 'typewriters' about, but even with the short extracts offered here it's obvious that Di Wu is a thoughtful player who carefully considers every phrase. And that's genuine technical assurance in the Prokofiev, not just empty virtuoso display.
