Wonderful music by Berry Connell, images by Steff

The graffitti monsters have come to call
To decorate your nice bright wall
You may have wished it smooth and clean
To them it's blank, untouched, obscene
What care the demons, they fight for space
Evolving to a spray can race
With art or not they fill it in
Branded with colors, deeds or sins
Diligently covering a rivals work
In the night they creep, in the day they lurk
Pssst, pssst, pssssst
Click, click, click, click, click
Pssst, pssst, pssssst
Clack, clack, clack, clack, clack
Pssst, pssst, sput, sputter
Not one thought left to utter
Used up!

  • steff, this is amazing! i LOVE the poem and the video is great as well. i myself am not such a big fan of graffiti, but then again, some look simply stunning.

  • I think I was just more moved by how secluded the location was and how completely filled the spaces were, even the grass below. Humans just spill over their world don't they?

  • You make me feel guilty for hating graffiti. ;) Excellent video and poem.

  • Never feel guilty for hating graffitti. It's everywhere and on every concievable object. Most is just territory markings much like dog piss. But on the other side of the coin, some explodes with great passion, color and skill. I met a kid one time on a flight and he was working on a brilliant comic book. He had taken his passion off the streets and focused it into something that could be shared by people everywhere. Do I sound preachy? LOL

  • Hey Gorgeous! Another brilliant video!!

I have always loved really good graffiti. And you captured some great images.

    How the heck are you?

  • Hey Handsome! How the Hell (I mean Hallbe) are YOU!!!??? LOL

I find the best graffitti on trains. I've been lucky enough to snap a few as they move through my world. Big Hugs!

    Fantastic you!

    Tx.

  • Great camera work! I love your poem, and tell Berry the music is beautiful.

That is some impressive artwork. I really like seeing good grafitti. The only problem I have is when it spoils a really cool structure, which is someone else's artwork. Thanks for sharing the vid =)

  • WOW!

    WAY COOL!

I think of graffiti as an art form, some good some not so much.

I almost hate to say, open places are fair game, but, het. What does it matter, eh?

Brilliant job, and you should leave it up (you have quite a following here, gal) and, trust me on this. Anytime you want music? I'll hand it over to you easy and free. Longer, shorter, softer or harder. Moxnix.

I love your work. It's real.

Heck, I'de give you way more than five stares if I could!
