This is a video of the locations used for the video 'In A Big Country' by 80s Scottish band, Big Country. Filmed in Dorset, England, this video shows how the locations looked back in 1983 and how they look now. Produced as a tribute to this great band.

    I can answer this

I ran Big Country's fan club at the time and the woman in the video was Beri Chadwick. She was part of the management set up and a completely lovely woman. Her husband was Guy Chadwick who, at the time, had a band called Kingdoms...they released one songle and split up. Guy then went on to form House of Love. I lost touch with Beri soon after I knocked the fan club on the head...I was a little bit in love with her if truth be told..

  • Wow...great stuff...grats dude

  • Amazing! Thank you for putting so much effort into this!

  • gutted - where's the big building gone from 1.50 ?

  • A nice piece of detective work & a great video! I mountain bike regularly on the Isle Of Purbeck, Dorset & will check out the locations featured. Relatively little has changed in the area since 1983 & Swanage appears to be stuck in a time warp. Will be interesting to note any additional changes since your video in 2009.
