AKC Agility Trial - Makayla - January 9-10 2010 - Harriman TN - Novice JWW and Standard

What a fun trial!! This is always such a great trial to start the year of with! All my training/showing friends are there and we have so much fun!!!!

So this wasnt the best trial we've ever had but its pretty good saying that its been hard to practice with all our FREEZING cold weather and that we havent shown in over 2 months! But she still did great, i was so happy!! She was VERY fast in all her runs which was really good! :) And this was also her first real trial in 20'' which she did AMAZING at! I really think she works alot better at 20'' :)

About the contacts thing.........I didnt know if she would do the Aframe or the dogwalk in the trial(we knew for a fact she wouldnt do the teeter! ;]).. We worked ALLLLLL 2009 on getting the contacts and she was getting REALLY good at them in practice! So this trial(and few more to come) I decided just to get her in the Standard ring and let her get used to them in trials too. We are obviously still gonna train alot more on our contacts and hopefully sometime this year we can do them in the ring :)

Also, our good friend, which im sure youve seen in our videos alot, her golden Ruby retired from agility trials on Sunday(1-10-10)! :( Shes such a sweet dog and i love her!! Hope you have a happy retirement Ruby!!! Rachel, you did a great job with her and her agility career! Shes a special little girl!! :)

YAY! Y'all did great and Makayla did amazing at 20 inches! Wow what a great trial! And your doing the right thing by giving her ring experience in standard, she will get it soon! And thanks for that little note on the side;) it made me cry haha I love you guys!!!
