The person in this video (12/18/2008 at approximately 3:45PM within the Northwood Neighborhood of San Jose) has been stealing mail and packages from our home for the past couple of weeks. She walks up to the front porch with a pair of scissors to open the package in front of our house as well as takes the letters/mail from the mailbox by our front door. She places the packages in the white plastic bag in the video as she leaves. • Let me guess, you read that placing a GPS tracker in a package was nice, easy, and cheap from your favorite TV show.

Reality check: I would have had to shell out $170 plus $100 for the subscription to activate a personal GPS tracker like Spot. So in hindsight, yes I should have spent $270 to place as bait but at the time I had no idea if this person would have actually come back to take the bait.

  • Are YOU stupid? Of course the video was turned over to the police department and the US Postal Inspectors office first and is currently under investigation.

YouTube just provided the medium to share this video outside of my little neighborhood. This video has been linked back to by local tv stations, news papers, blogs, and other websites. It has been way more affective than placing fliers up and down the street.

  • Thank you Fugitive Watch for taking on the story to help identify this person.

With the recent negative comments, all I can say is that maybe this person's friends/family finally saw the video. To me, this just brings us one step closer to identifying this lady.

She can try to cut her hair, dye it black, not wear glasses, or whatever other little tricks she may want to try to disguise herself in the future, but with the public's help she won't be able to hide much longer.

  • This is a response to "elmosmidlap's" comment below...dude you're a complete idiot. This person has lost his items from the front porch of his very own house and all you can do is simpathize with some loser thief? This female had the intent to steal...do you get that? She intended to steal the stuff that was left on the porch. She went there with a pair of scissors in her hand ready for some loot. The only help this thief needs is some good old jail time.

BTW, great job on the video FourDr.

  • I would shit in a box and give her a Dookie Surprise!

  • @sbdjmy

Really? They do have cordless cameras, and, I guess you did not think that a person could hide the cord if one was needed. I'd tell you to look in the mirror but you would probably break it.

  • @hapa122 more than enough to get a search warrant. and this woman will have tons of evidence in her house. boxes with labels being used to store old kitty litter

  • lol, mail thief

  • @SmurffNationn put rat traps in the boxes next time

  • Why didn't you post pictures of her everywhere near your hood? Like at the grocery store, a mall, and close hoods.
