I have been receiving requests to provide information about my video and audio setup that I use for my videos. Since I was filming a Craig's Kitchen, I thought It was a great opportunity to show some of the things that I do before I shoot these videos, and how I set up my video, audio and lighting equipment. The actual Craig's Kitchen video will fallow shortly.

Equipment list:
Panasonic GS-500 Mini DV camera (3 CCD)
Velbon Stratos 480 Fluid head tripod

Audio Technica 200 Series wireless mike, transmitter and receiver
Various florescent cool white lighting fixtures (only one shown here)
Laptop using Audacity audio software
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3Ghz with 1.5 terabytes of storage, 4 gigs of ram.

  • What is the song at the intro/outro? is that one of yours?

  • @kahnny23 Yes, it's called "Ever Beating Heart" available for free at my website. craigfarraway (dot) com.

  • Wicked video Craig I must admit I have no idea with filming and need to learn! my wine videos were shot by just putting my digital camera on to video, I have a video 8 I got from a carboot sale its like new about 20 years old I look forward to using it you have to start somewhere take care Ian UK ps Craig my dad has a camcorder that takes tapes but records in DV my video 8 is tapes what is the differnce? they both use tapes but his says dv Digital video my knowledge of video is poor cheers Ian

  • @sandydogy Your camera is analog and his is digital. That means that yours records like a VHS recorder does, and his digitized the signal and records it as binary code, like a CD vs a record.

    Cheers!

  • Nice Video Craig! I'm probably the only person on YouTube that has actually been in "Craig's Kitchen" lol

  • @weirdbeer You've also been in the brew dungeon, but only once, cuz it's a mess. We need to get together Fo and talk All Grain. Let's pick each other's brains over some beers.
