Did you know there was also a band from Lowell, Massachusetts called Little John and the Sherwoods? They released a single in 1965 (Rag Bag/Long Hair). I think it hit the top 40 for a week or two. I was looking for that and found this instead. Good find. Very Holly-esque. The other Sherwoods were more Brit invasion. You'd probably like it too.
