Rev. Dr. Greg Beale talks about his latest book, A New Testament Biblical Theology: The Unfolding of the Old Testament in the New. Visit www.wtsbooks.com to order your copy!
@calbeza You say it on the ` BASIS ` which does not represent fact.
You ` STATE ` that god made us in his image. How do you know this, did you read this in a book written by men for men .
Justice is good, its morally correct because without morality mankind would never have got this far,and there must have been morality prior to the intervention of this so called god of yours.
@naybobdenod I say that on the basis of 2 Cor 5:10 etc. We naturally desire justice because God has made us in his image and he is just. But in this world justice is highly imperfect because we are corrupted by sin. Being holy, God must therefore be just because justice is good. In his holiness God cannot overlook sin - he will judge. We are all guilty - turn to Christ as he is presented in Scripture while there is still time. Peace
@naybobdenod To be honest, if you saw what Beale is doing in this book on the relation and fulfillment of the Old Testament to the New Testament, you would see that it is impossible for the Bible to be a book "written by man." And yes, we are responsible for our own actions. There will be a day when God judges all men for their sin. The good news is that this Judgment Day has already come in Christ's death for those who look to him in faith for forgiveness and turn from their sins.
I've been waiting six years for this volume! So glad Beale has completed it but am surprised to hear him say his work is most like Stuhlmacher and Hubner. He clearly must not mean in all ways.
I really do find it quite amusing that all the books written about the mythology of the bible still keep selling. Its just the same old as,over and over again. The gullibility of so many beggars belief,it really does.
When are the believers going to get to grips with the fact that this so called holy book was written by man to enslave man.
The notion of a god and vicarious redemption abhors me to the core.
One should accept ones own responsibility for ones actions, should`nt one :)

You may be guilty but I sure am not.
Vicarious redemption is sick.
I accept the consequences of my own actions.
Peace.
