Another scene clipped together from various adaptations of "Pride & Prejudice" (at the request of unKeira6891)...this is Mr. Collins proposing to Lizzie.
The most recent film is the 2005 Focus Features version starring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, Brenda Blethyn and Donald Sutherland as her parents, and Tom Hollander as Mr. Collins.
The 1995 BBC/A&E Production stars Jennifer Ehle, with Alison Steadman and Benjamin Whitrow as her parents and David Bamber as Mr. Collins.
And in the 1940 MGM version which features Greer Garson as Lizzie, Melville Cooper as Mr. Collins, and Mary Boland and Edmund Gwenn as the Bennets.

The 1995 is definitely the best by far. They really stick to the book, and I the acting is definitely better. I'm not very familiar with the earliest one that you showed, but Keira acts too modern and the 1995 mr Collins is just brilliant. He's so arrogant and conceited, he does his part really well. - my opinion :)

"And your wit and vivacity, which I think must be acceptable to her, when tempered with your silence and respect, which her rank will inevitably excite...." HAHAHAH 1995 Mr. Collin's always gives me a great laugh. The smugness, and overall, uneasiness, is rich with awkwardness.
