There is so much to like in this rendition of his "Mishima" effort. . . yet, there is something lacking. While the anticipation is a given, based on the elegance of the theme, there's a lack of bottom, fullness. It's almost like it was begging for horns, and almost out of spite, denied. If there can be such a thing. . . IMHO.

You know Philip Glass is win when he's the only composer that can nauseate me when I listen.

Simply wonderful. One of my favorites by Glass, but the performance is stunning, and the ambiance without equal. Beautifully shot, too. I've put this on my Favorites. Many thanks to you indeed!

Excellent performance, and only the second group I have heard play this. Very different to the first recording I heard. I had shivers listening to some parts - wonderful. Third movement is great, but last movement does it for me every time!

Oh my god, this is incredible. The candles, the cathedral ceilings...I've never seen a piece done so much justice in my life.
