@wileypayote he, like Yngwie, and many other guitarists who are pioneers/innovators in their own gendres normally go through that experience, like you described, of reach surpassing grasp...but either way, he's awesome!

@wileypayote I think what he means by that, is that he prefers rhythmic soloing with syncopation and rests and little bursts here and there, as opposed to just shredding straight 16ths nonstop. That's just the way I interpreted it, though.

there are quarter notes, eigth notes, and 16th notes in any style of music you play. I think joes reach has far surpassed his grasp. On music that is. But I love him to death. Please don't reply with a bashing of my comment. I'm as big a satch fan as anybody. he's one of the true innovators of rock n roll guitar.
