  • 2:44 JESUS if hes got a gunshot to the head why are you making the video?! get him to hospital :S

  • @theemporour most likely quikclot or equvilent. I heard some storys about them using powderd chaulk but I'm not sure I believe that one

  • 11 people shot themselves to try this.

  • ive always wanted to know

in the old war films when someone got shot they poured white powder onto the wound

i always thought it was salt or something to disinfect the wound

  • I carry that most of that, plus an Israeli Dressing, great for serious wounds to extremities.

  • Also, when we are expected to make the plastic sucking chest wound cover, once we have that in place how do we manage the blood loss in contrast to injuries to other body parts?

  • Love the video. Question: What about if a bullet goes through someone's abdomen, exiting the back, and lets say they fall face down. How do you proceed? It would seem that you would have to treat both the entry and the exit wounds, but I was paying attention when we were told that the victim should be moved as little as possible. Can you advise?

  • Good info and good reminders from EMT-B classes long ago. Thanks again :)

  • @MrGabrielTheGreen You don't no matter what, only in the event it is obstructing is breathing in same way where he can no longer breath. Taking the knife can open him up for bleeding or make things just simply worse. Better to stabilize in place.
