  • So the husband of a Korean and a new father of a Korean child doesn't know how to say "hello" in Korean. Shows how much he cares about the culture(lack thereof). Anyong is the most basic Korean word, something you would learn in the first day of language class. I feel sad for this poor child who will inevitably lose all her cultural identity growing up in this house.

So sorry, but you are wrong. Yes, my Korean is bad but both children are bi lingual and speak Korean just as well as they speak English. Their Mother speaks only Korean in the house. Please don't feel sad for us, we are a happy family and are not trolling You Tube videos all day making denigrating comments like you..

  • God bless your family for bringing Mia (and her brothers) into your lives. Thank you for posting this. My husband and I just applied to adopt from China.

  • @jaxangelchica

Thanks for the comments. We are very lucky. If you watch any of the newer videos you will see she is not the same person now as she was in that video. Much bigger, fluent in English, etc. She is still the best daughter ever though..

  • She is so precious! And blessed! My husband and I are hoping to adopt when we get to Korea later this year. What was the adoption process like for you. If you don't mind, what rules and requirements did you have to meet.

  • @teammaddison

The rules are you need an agency, and the process is long. You have to do homework, medical tests, visits from a psychologist, etc. It is a lot of money but worth it.. If you are in Korea as a resident I think it would be much easier but I am not sure of the process there.

  • @alexander96850 Dude, what the heck is your problem?! I PITY you because you can't see that this father and his wife have a love for their child that transcends race and culture. The mother is clearly Korean so their daughter will be raised knowing her culture. Your comments have no merit and you're clearly an IDIOT!

  • @GATITA7165

You did your research and called the city Busan and not Pusan! You are a true Korean Patriot!

  • @tensi45

Thats the most awsome part! I feel sorry for kids whos parents do not teach their language and keep them strangers from a history they should know. I even met a Korean lady she was 27 at the time and her parents never taught her how to eat with chopsticks. OH COME ON NOW! Then again met a 32 year old Korean adoptee whos white mom pulled her away from me when I was speaking korean to her. She had the biggest smile on her face until pulled away. VERY RUDE!

  • this was so beautiful, the love she received from her foster umma (mom), and the love she is receiving from you two are so inspirational :) thank you for lifting up my spirits
