Urban Mo's opened its doors to the community of San Diego and the world under the name Hamburger Mary's, over fifteen years ago. In that time, Urban Mo's has served over five million customers, most of who regard each of our staff members as friends and family. Since opening our sister restaurant, Baja Betty's, in 2004 and changing our name from Hamburger Mary's to Urban Mo's in 2006, our organization employs over 147 community members between the two restaurants, which bookend the popular University Avenue strip located in our uptown neighborhood of Hillcrest.
We often hear people say "We just came in for one drink- three or four hours ago." We embrace change in our community, we believe in the good fortune of others and look forward, everyday, toward a brighter future. Just like a vortex, once you get sucked into our energy, our fun and the incredible atmosphere, you won't want to leave. Our outpouring of love, trust and gratitude for a community that allows us to service them everyday and in every way is what lies at the heart of who we are, who we want to be and how we continue to grow.
