Artworks made with great skill seem to reach toward a state of undiferation in which nothing is jarring and nothing breaks the spell. This gives artistry a certain kind of power and a certain kind of danger. We dont want to be under this kind of spell all of the time because we dont want to be 'taken for a ride' or conned or exploited and we dont want to fool ourselves. We have to 'snap out of it' sometimes to check whether our pockets are being picked.

Can't beat a bit of Pessoa. If he wasn't such a brilliant prose writer he would perhapse be more recognised as the great thinker he was, imo.

Individuation is negation. Nidra is individuation. The collective supermind does not sleep. This is the thought of an individual. The thought is "I am sleeping" which keeps away other thoughts for a while.
It is interesting that during sleepwalking, or an alcoholic blackout, or a manic fugue state, or sometimes with a dissociated identity, that awareness is present (walkin and talking) but there is no memory afterward. Separating creates the impression we were unconscious of happenings.

Dreamless sleep is experiencing the causal body, like seedless samadhi, but it's sunya + nidra. Nidra is still negation.
Awareness is present during the thoughts deep sleep(nidra), dreaming, and waking (jagrat)
We are in nirvikalpa samadhi now as always. Non-recognition of jagrat right now as an always ever having-been is the thought that the KNOWER, self aware consciousness without object, is SEPARATE (and in this case superior) to awareness of jagrat state objects, the KNOWN.

thanks for this! I hope you continue to share your efforts in"getting at that'.
"I" wants to get at the misidentification of consciousness with the mind body of an organism. This "I" is a thought.
Thoughts pass while awareness remains, even with the passing thought called "sleep,"....and this thought that there is an "I" separated from "that" wants to see how "I" IS that negation. The moving parts are the same as the stillness of awareness. Does negation exist separately from this stillness that remains?

Dreamless sleep, always ever a having-been, is the only place/time where there is not internal negation
