  • Is this the how the $10,000 Pyramid came about in 1973?

  • Some people think so.

  • this show NEVER went on the air....

  • R.I.P Jack Clark

  • Actually, that's not entirely true about the "biggest cash prizes" in daytime. The 1968-1970 daytime version of "Dream House" offered $20,000 if contestants didn't want to take the house, I believe.

  • From what I heard, this pilot was intended for ABC. That's why it seems so weird to hear Don Pardo's voice on something not associated with NBC.

  • @nicka727 if the champs lose games 2, 3 and 4 they lose half their winnings.

  • Another one episode wonder.........

  • ...and I'ont care what NOBODY say, this show shoulda stayed ON! This is great!

  • some answers are a bit funny.

  • Probably the only game show pilot I can think of that feels like a spoof for about the first 30 seconds.

Also the only one I can think of that has its recording date (August 4, 1972) stamped somewhere for all to see. "Blank Check" might have done that, as well, but I haven't been able to sit through the whole of that pilot just yet.

  • This is how The $10,000 Pyramid started.
