your a fucking flamer my z31 kills every mustang it sees which i dont even take pride in seein as how there a fucking GRANNY CAR SLOW SOHC NIGHTMARES z31 turbo pal 10 psi beats corvettes. most. not all. corvetttes are mean i know im not stupid.

Sounds like the infamous VTC rattle. You can disable the VTC system to shut it up. Check the Z forums.

sounds like a knock maybe from a lifter, is it still driveable? also check your timing belt and all your gears (timing obviously not transmission) PM me if you need help i have 2 z's 1 n/a that i drive every day, and a twin turbo i am complety rebulding

nah i dun think 300zxs get rice knock thats just on hondas and hyundais lol the knock was cuz some teeth on my timing belt fell off 2 days before i was going to make the repair :\ basically long story short timing belt slips pistons hit valves u see where im going :\ keep up ur timing belt its important but seeing your a ford guy i bet ud hate to hear about its last race was a stang that got raped and before that it was a 95 camaro haha far from rice u can call my probe rice though lol i hate it
