The sad fact is, it's even EASIER to hack into PBS or any other broadcaster today than it was in 1987, though there is a much greater chance of getting caught so you really have to strategically pick your times when you THINK they won't bump it off the air prematurely (ie somebody in control room is watching). For example, you don't EVER see somebody trying to hack the NYC ball drop for broadcast TV...

The part that irritates me most about this, is that this dude had one chance to talk to the world (ultimately) and all he did was act like a hole. Wasted opportunity. Especially since he never got caught.
